Botox and Dermal Fillers

Botox and dermal fillers are a new service we now offer at Muha Dental. Botox is not only used for fine lines and wrinkles for facial cosmetics. Here is a small list of benefits for Botox in the dental practice:

Headache pain resulting from muscle tension in the head, face, and neck

Headaches resulting from bite issues such as TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Syndrome

Persistent clenching and grinding of the teeth

“Gummy” smiles due to over-retracted upper lips

Upside-down smiles (as it takes more muscles to frown compared to smiling)

Lip lines and puckered chins

Botox is also used to support aesthetic dentistry cases, to help patients avoid the surgical treatment of high lip line cases.  Botox can also help denture patients who have trouble adjusting to new dentures, it aids in lip augmentation, and has uses in orthodontic cases where retraining of the facial muscles is required.
